Presidents always have the power to veto a law that had made past congress. Congress can overide a presidential veto with a certain amount of approval. It is listed in the Constitution under the 1st article if you want to check.

Are you kidding, we have a repuglican congress and a repuglican president, while he can veto a bill, he will not do so as he is getting all things passed that he wants to. Question to repuke's how is this working out for you, the rest of the country and even the world is suffering from the repuglican presidents agenda.

Conservatives? Clinton passed NAFTA which garanteed that Corporations will go down to Mexico so they can pollute without the EPA to bother them. They don't have to get scrubbers for their thermal stacks and don't have to pay fines because they won't be fined. They can also hire cheap labor.
Be glad you have conservatives to support business so Americans can have jobs.
Who told you the Pres can't veto? It's a known fact.

Bush can veto any bill he wants. (Congress can override the veto with a two-third vote.) He just hasn't done it yet.
