I am obese.

There, I admit it. I'll even tell you WHY. I eat too much and don't exercise enough. I know I do. I try to eat as healthy as I can, some days it's just not possible. Aside from having a decided lack of willpower and motivation to change anything. I am also HAPPY with my body most of the time. I wear clothes that fit, that cover up my most offending areas. My fiancee tells me everyday that I'm beautiful. I have a nice figure, even if in somewhat enlarged proportions.

So kindly tell me WHY I must put up with self-righteous people everyday reminding me that I'm fat, ugly, and generally worthless? And don't give me that bullcrap that you're trying to save my health. YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT MY HEALTH. What you care about is having to watch my thighs wiggle a little when I walk, and seeing my stretch marks at the public pool in the summertime. DEAL WITH IT. I have as much right to exist as you do. And don't pretend you don't have a little jiggle and roll here and there.

Thoughts?

In general, there are always going to be people who will have a negative comment about people. They stick their nose where it doesn't belong, even when they aren't asked to. A lot of the time, it's because they're insecure about their own imperfections, and the rest of the time it's because they're just bad people. Always remember that no matter how skinny, attractive and likeable people are, SOMEBODY has always got something to say.

So the best thing to do is to realize that you are happy with the way you look (which, unless you are unhealthy (and I DO mean it) you have every right to be). Just focus on the good things and forget about the people who have something to say. Always try to live life for yourself, not for others. I'm sure you're beautiful, so don't let others bother you. Just remember to live and love as hard as you can...make it a good life :)

People can be incredibly self-righteous. They can be so ignorant about pointing out what they perceive as flaws in others. What amazes me is who asked them for their opinion and why do they think you should heed it? Just remember those that are so anxious to put you down have problems with their own self-image. We all have a right to live our own lives as we see fit. Be happy and live well!

Have you have said the same thing about anorexics?
---------
We all say nasty things about others at some point in our life. Whether it may be skin color, appearance, weight issues, height issues, IQ's, cultures, habits, etc. We are ALL guilty of it. (even me)
The difference would be to learn from our mistakes in life and to move on. Some people may never learn, that's part of life, to take the good with the bad. And other's DO learn from their mistakes.
And those that do learn from their mistakes, get further in life than those that don't.

On a different note...
I applaud you for your tenacity and for being proud of who you are. Which I think are valuable assets. Why would anyone want to get rid of you???

Give your husband a big hug. Sounds like he could teach those losers on how to be a "real man".

Just a few thoughts.
