Because you're only on level one. As you gain points, you move up in level and can ask/answer/vote/rate more questions.

As you go up in points, you get more questions. So just keep answering questions. Its Yahoo's way of getting people to actually help each other by answering questions, rather then just posting all kinds of silly things and using it as a chat room. As you prove that you are using it correctly, by actually answering questions, then you get the privilege of asking more.
2 points for me, so I'm that much closer to unlimited questions!! Then there will be not stopping me!!

But you can cheat, if you're that way inclined... I've seen people answer with UTTER CRAP just to get points! Hmmm. I get two points. HEHHH!!! Sorreeeeee!
