Are you crazy or just stupid? Take your child to a doctor. He can't take himself. That's your job. The oil change guy, the cashier??????

The person may be talking about something called the Ketogenic Diet. That is why the fat and protein. You would have to do that specificall with a doctor and nutritionist team and have a program taylored to your child per his specific needs. It has a specified lenght of time and has to be followed every day. The children have to take supplments with it and they do not eat the same thing 3x times at day. The children also take seizure medication while on the program until they are stable. Your son needs to have proper care through a pediatrician with medication and then you can look for a special program in this care. It is a remarkable approach. I worked at a hospital who did this program and this takes extreme dedication of parents. Please do not risk the well being of your child by doing random things suggesed by unautorized people. Please get your child appropriate conventional medical care immediately (no more mega doses of vitamin c and ginko)so he does not suffer damage that is permanent. Take him to the ER if you have to or urgent care or something just get your son some care. You can look into these special program after your child is stable.

Sounds like you are pretty desperate if you are listening to Wal-Mart cashiers and mechanics. I feel for you. I assume you have taken him to his pediatrician, though you did not say as much. As children, my brother and I also went through such episodes. We also had high fevers. Is this part of his history? It turned out that after we had our tonsils removed the seizures went away. Doctors do not like to do that anymore, but it saved our lives. Good luck.

Take him to a doctor. No offense, but are the employees of Wal-Mart a good choice to help you with the welfare of your child?

Not taking your kid to a doctor for this is child abuse. Pure and simple.

And the more convulsions he has, the more damage to his nervous system there is.

There is no "home remedy" for this at all.

And after THOSE health experts' advice failed, you turn to this group of anonymous people??

I think you're just yanking our chain -- making fun of some of the other questioners. Right?
