I forgot to ask my friend when we were IM'ing.

ME: Your spelling is not so great either, "{******}" should be "{******}".

THEM: Shut your gob.

They got offline before I remembered to ask what "shut your gob" meant. So can you please tell me?

This is a friend?! Means "Shut your mouth!" Don't know why "gob" means "mouth."
