in the classic Monopoly board game, the 500 and 100 bills were kinda odd colors.
here's what i recall from memory, and how i would best describe the color:
1 - white
5 - pink
10 - yellow
20 - green
50 - blue
100 - beige/tan - it's not really yellow.
500 - goldenrod - it's not red enough to be red or orange.

Depends on what version of Monopoly. Traditional. Millennium. Classic. But in the traditional game the $500 are gold the $100 tan $50 are blue $20 are green $10 yellow $5 pink $1 white. Check out the official Site.

The $500 is orange
the $100 is red
The $50 is blue
The $20 is green
The $10 is brown
The $5 is pink and the
$1 is black

Remember the colour of the money and properties is different with every standard edition released in another culture. Like in England the two most expensive properties are Dark Purple, and the two cheapest is Brown But in the American version the most expensive is Dark Blue and the cheapest is dark purple. I think in Britain, the fifty is green and the twenty is blue as a money variation.
