I've been with my GF for 7 months now. She wants to call it quits over things I do wrong, that aren't that bad. After her period is over, she loves me and wants to be married someday. I'm not use to this.
What happens next? I love her. I love her ways. Except for the PMS time.

You know, PMS is horrible. I am a normal, calm, rational person. Very cynical and not overly emotional. I had to laugh myself silly a couple months ago because I found myself CRYING hard in the car over the death of Johnny Carson. He died over a year and a half ago!!!

I called my husband and told him I must be PMSing because of that incident. Sure enough, I was. He brought home ice cream, God Bless him!!!

If you think it's hard on you, try being the female that has PMS. It's horrible. You cry at commercials, you get easily enraged and it's out of your control.

I finally started birth control pills a couple months ago because I couldn't take the emotional roller coaster. I had severe PMS when I was younger and it subsided when I was having kids. The only reason I'm on the pills is for the PMS relief...my husband is "fixed". After 3 months, I can tell a difference.

Did you have sisters growing up?

There are some things that she can take that can help that. Vitamins and such. Research it on the internet and approach her when she is NO WHERE NEAR PMSing. And don't say "You're such a snot when you are PMSing...take these so you don't bother me so much". Just tell her that it hurts you to see her so distressed and miserable during this time. And offer her some options.

If she's really worth it, you can weather this. Many, many, many men do.

Good luck. I feel for you, I really do.

PMS does not give her the right to take you on an emotional roller coaster. I am a woman who occasionally has PMS. While some women do get more easily irritated during PMS, threatening to leave your mate is not normal. It is a sign of feelings that she harbors all month long. You need to have a long talk with her and get to the bottom of those threats (don't have this conversation during her PMS). If she says that she loves you and wants to be with you, then you tell her that you never want to hear her threaten to end your relationship again or you will do it for her. Remember, you teach people how to treat you!

I don't know of any girls with that drastic mood swings during PMS...but I've been told by my husband that I get very mean when it's that time of the month. She might not know her words are hurtful? Why don't you talk to her on her good day, a day that she can think straight. I don't think guys will ever know the pains of cramps or backpains, but you can be understanding that it is not her choice to be angry or hurtful. I'd say stay away from her during that time of the month. And refrain from saying 'fat'...

Yes it is the menstral period but she is too young to relize what is happing to her body.. It is very good that you noticed this..

So now you know this you have to reasure her before all this starts get too know your womens periods get a calendar and mark them down, also the days she is high strong.. "mine i one week before on monday.. always this is my danger day." i call it it is the day i am yelling and screaming in my mind for no reason, or the day i am paniced, or confussed, or emotional, or clean, get the house clean eveything has to be cleaned, get the grauge done in 5 hours, get the cars all washed,,

get the point it is the one day that come before the period.. know it well good man,

then 3 days before her period she will not feel well sluggish and depressed emothional, and 3 days afterwards is aggitatied.. so be careful these are fighting days.

get your callendar.. start marking. HINT.. ALL WOMEN ARE LIKE THIS, EVEN THE ONES WHO TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT ... ARE THY JUST DONT RECONIZE THE SYSTEMS BUT EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS THE TRUTH ABOUT THEM.

Good man .. I am very proud of you for being so young and figuring this out..SOME OF THE DUMMEST MEN STILL IN THERE 40'S AND 50'S HAVE NEVER FIGURED OUT WOMEN.
so they ***** and call them names and complain and make the women feel like **** and they hit her and abuse her and torment her.. they blame everything on the women and they ***** they can not have sex..

so just remember you sir are very intellegent at your age..

Keep up the good work..ALWAYS KNOW YOUR WOMENS BODY BETTER THEN SHE DOSE.. and you wil have a great sex life and marriage for over 50yrs..

Brith control does not help the mood swings......It is normal for women to have these, we'll call them "emotional periods" but its not ok for her to be horrible to you...she knows what she's doing and women who say they dont are lying.....I get emotional..i cry at the drop of a hat, but my husband knows when "it's time" and I try HARD to be patient and understanding and not loose my cool and he does the same...its life-- ya gotta live with it :)

It is normal but, she really needs to be more aware of how awful she is to be around during the pms. There are things she could do if you are that important to her!

Define normal for me. well she's a nut case, run and don't look back!!!! NO, SERIOUSLY, RUN. We all have mood swings, women , men, children, old people, midgets, even your pet...they can sence your emotions/feelings. there is no excuse, i would say its more of a chemical imbalance. see if she's willing to see a doctor...do it over the phone or e-mail this way if she freaks on you, you don't really have to deal with it. good luck.

It is completely normal. Every girls does it. Just try to stick it out and be patient. Talk to her about it if it is really upsetting you.
