Color doesn't matter at all, it's the fabric. Black absorbed heat (UV rays) from the SUN, so if your feet are in your shoes, it won't make any difference at all.
Basically anything non-cotton with make your feet smell the most because it traps heat and moisture inside. Get cotton socks so the air can go through better.

I would guess black because it draws the heat to your feet during the day...although I'm not sure why you asked which makes your feet smell the most instead of which makes your feet smell the LEAST. Most people don't want stinky feet ;). White socks are the best way to go, as all of our gym teachers told us in middle school.

The worst my feet ever smelled was in green wool socks. No I'm not Donny Osmand It was in the military. I learn to wear white cotton socks under the color socks.

It's not the color, it's the fibre content. Polyester and other synthetic materials tend to trap odor. They also make you sweat more. That being said, synthetic materials also hold dyes better, so they tend to be brighter or deeper colors than natural fibres like cotton or wool.
All my socks are white and tan, mostly cotton. They all smell equally. Actually, I live in a tropical climate and wear sandals 99% of the time.

HOneslty I dona't think color has anything to do with it, unless you are sitting in the sun with dark socks on & your feet are sweating! haha
Honestly, I think the fabric content is what determines whether the socks will hold scent or not. The higher the natural fabric such as cotton, the better the socks will "breath".
And there are those people who just have stinky feet, regardless of color or fabric content or foot deodorant!!
P.S. On myth busters (the t.v. show), they used vodka to wash stinky feet in & it worked! :-)

I don't smell my feet to confirm, but I think black for some reason. It really isn't the color that affects the smell, its the fabric content- 100% cotton is best.

unquestionably black. and, white make them smell the least. if foot odor is a problem, consider powders. generally, the darker the sock, the more heat that is held and that leads to more sweat and that to more odor. for a cheap solution, try a generic medicated powder. however, keep in mind that bare feet in tight closed shoes will tend to make your shoes smell a heck of a lot!

The colour isn't important, its the material which matters. Cotton or cotton blended ones are the best as they allow your feet to breathe; wool or similar is the worst as they don't allow your feet to breathe, which is what makes them smell

The color doesn't matter. What matters is how much perspiration they let into the air to dry... depends on your body and the type of shoes you wear.
