The white robes of the KKK are related to their belief in the purity of the white race. The hoods worn denote their ranking in the Klan - once a member reaches a certain rank (third degree), they no longer wear the hood.
Klan members are not gay. The KKK hates everyone except for themselves and even then, they still fight amongst themselves. Not only have blacks, mixed race couples, Jews, Catholics, immigrants been "attacked" by the KKK, but gays, as well.

Because back in the 1800's when the south lost the Civil War 3 southern officers made the KKK. They decided to dress like that to make African Americans think that they were really the died confederate soldiers, to try to scare them back into slavery. And Know today the KKK isnt anything but a JOKE!!!!

I really do not know why they wear what they wear, and I don't know if they are gay.
The only thing I am sure of though is that they are very simple minded and hateful.
Because to hate another human just because of the color of their skin is not very smart because no child has asked to be brought into this world, and believe it or not "ALL CHILDREN" get along with each other, it's the dumb adults who teaches them to hate, I know I have actually gotten off the subject but, that's what happens when such a touchy subject comes into play....
So again, I don't know if they are gay or why they wear those silly cones........Sorry

I guess they were ashamed of their misdeeds... and as such since many of them had respectable positions during day-time and in society, they didn't want the world to know what they really were up to!
I think it had something to do with the kind of ritual a person was ordered to adhere to during the time of initiation into membership. Also, making it mandatory to dress in white overalls with hats kept the money flowing into the regional KKKs!

The used to dress in those ridiculous outfits to scare uneducated people at the time into thinking they were spirits or demons. They rode out in the night and looked pretty scary.
They weren't initially founded on hate, but soon went that route and have been a plague on mankind ever since.

Well, bedsheets just happened to be handiest to hide their identity during the initial days of their formation as one of the most hateful, bigoted, murderous organizations in this country. Pointy hats... they're dickheads and try to hide the fact. (Stoopid, huh?) Gay? Puhleeze, don't give them that dignity... they are just a bunch of homophobic morons who also attack gays, as the skinheads do.
And yes, people... they are still out there in most any rednecky town and other town/cities that you wouldn't suspect. The American Nazi's are probably their biggest competition in the area of organized A'hole Groups!

They cover themselves because they don't want people to know who they are. They are cowards in my opinion, driven by a hatred that was taught them by others. No one is born hating anyone. As for the gay part, some of them probably are. Who knows and who cares? They are nothing now. Just a bunch of loud mouthed rednecks who irritate the general population.

They dress in white robes as a symbol of their so called "devotion" to christianity. Similar garbs are worn by devout spanish catholics. It is also to show their "white purity". They are not gay in fact they persecute gays.
