Simply put it logically if everyone in new york flushed their toliets at the same time the sewer would not take it. The same way as if everyone rioted. I don't think we have an aduquate plan for such a situation.

I think it would overthrow the government. The government would send in the national guard and if it got too big for the guard they would add the army to it. But there would be too many in both the guard and the army believing that being sent in would be the first step toward democracy's destruction and would switch sides and join the rioters. America would plunge into civil war and when it was over the government would be destroyed and more than likely there would be more than one country left where America once was each with its own government.

If ALL the people of the US were to take to the streets, the government might try to silence the protests/riots. However, I suspect that if it really were a popular and across-the-board movement, the troops, national guard or U.S. military, would not follow the orders to quell the protests. After all, the military is made of of individuals with their own feelings (however suppressed they may be.) Point is, if all the American people felt the same way, one could assume that the troops would feel that way too. But really, so many people in this Country will believe everything that the government tells them, there is absolutely no possibility of a popular revolt like the one about which you have asked.

Thomas Jefferson wanted to put a clause in the Constitution say that Government need to overthrown from time to time. Or something like that. Instead the settled on the Constitutional convention. It takes 2/3 of the states to agree on changes additions.

Yes you could expect the National Guard to put down any such rioting. That is if they're not all in Iraq.

little one,
That does'nt sound street-smart and it will serve no good purpose for the good of mankind on planet earth.
The dirty old men in office made blunders with slip-ups and human errors were just like you and me.
Why not just leave it and let the dirty old men clean -up the dirty work with peace and quiet for them to think and find a way to solve it.
While you keep on beating the drums with all that noise ou there on planet earth.

You can believe that they would, and that they would not accept responsibility for bringing the people to this. It's really sad. The most effective way to protest is to vote. That's what they understand.

We'd be in an episode of the "Twilight Zone' because not everyone would be part of an uprising.
