It depends on what you mean by check it?

If you just want to have a look at how much you have right click on Your Computer on the desktop then go down to properties click on that then a window will open with your system info in it and down the bottom it will tell you how much RAM your system has.

If you want to check the RAM for faults etc you have to run some tests on it which can require removing it from the system, this involves opening the case and pulling it out/off the mother board.

1. Right click on My Computer > Click Properties > Check the lower half of the General page.

Or

2. When the machine boots check BIOS.

Right click on My Computer then click on Properties. The opening dialog box will tell you all about your computer including RAM.

Easy,


Right click your "My Computer" Icon and select PROPERTIES, on geral tab, look at the bottom of the window. You will find CPU MHZ, and your memory RAM size.

Alternatively, press the Windows LOGO on the Keyboard and hold it, then press PAUSE BREAK. Here is it.

It normally displays this if you open the system window. Either right click on the My Computer image on your desktop and select properties, or open the control panel then open System, depending on your operating system.

If it is a mac...
Click on the blue apple in the upper left hand corner, then click "about my mac." the memory should be displayed at the bottom of the popup window.
