A balance between the both would be great

Appropriate to the occasion. If we're going to a cocktail party, I don't want to see scroungy casual clothes and flip-flops. But if we're going to the beach or to a ball game, leave the killer heels at home. Save them for the bedroom...

As others have indicated, you need to balance--but in situations where you're not sure, it's probably best to err on the dressy side. When you're mixing with people you don't know (be it in a social or career setting), it's better to be a bit over-dressed than under-dressed. (Example--for guys--if an invitation says "black tie optional," you wear black tie...) Plus. you will stand out from the sea of girls wearing the latest ***-baring jeans, etc. We get bored with that...

Casual.

I feel it is more relaxing, more natural and at ease. And if that pretty face looks good is casual attire, it would be pretty good when she is all dolled up.

I like girls who dress for the occasion. I don't consider barelegs and flip-flops as formal wear.
