Listen to others views, and sharing your own, peacefully, is a very different thing than having beliefs forced upon you or trying to force them on someone else.

If I am allowed to believe whatever I wish, and so are you, then I will be happy. If I had to live in a place where I could not think for myself and believe what I wished, I would rather die. Freedom of the mind is the sweetest treasure, and usually the last one we have when everything else is gone. It is most precious- that is why people would die for it.

Hardheadedness? I wish I knew. What would it be like if everyone were all the same? Diversity should be celebrated. Books like Alice in Wonderland and even Godzilla's Monster Island were full of different weird species and if they had been all alike, there would have been no stories of adventure. I view life like that...I am interested in those who are different than me. Unless they are out to hate and kill me just for existing, then I want nothing to do with them.

People do not die to protect their viewpoint, people kill to protect their viewpoint. Be afraid of the people who are willing to kill for their beliefs, do not be afraid of the people who are willing to be killed for their beliefs. The Roman Empire was not defeated by fire or sword, but pacifist Christians who died by the millions for their faith, and killed no one.

People will die to protect whatever is more important to them than life itself.
