Makes you wonder. It used to be just the Federer thing, but so many opponents are beating him these days. Granted, he doesn't have the most versatile and varied game on the tour, but his record so far this year is dismal. No titles (or even finals) so far, a fourth round exit at Wimbledon. For a former world number one, that's pretty bad. Hopefully he'll get back in the mix soon, but it'll take some work.

I wonder the same thing - USA should take a break and come back when they have a star willing to win. I loved when agassi, sampra, chang were the big three and would win some matches. Roddick is only good when no one seems to be watching
