Creationists, as far as I can tell from lots of looking into the matter, are real. Some are genuinely intelligent. However, 99% of the ones that I see are ignorant zealots with no idea what they're talking about when they bash evolution.

I have no problem with the thought of an all-powerful creator. I have a problem with people dismissing clear evidence and intelligent scientific thought because of the way they read a book that hasn't been reliably copied in hundreds of years.

Yes there are creationists out there and I suppose that you've got to admire their strength of belief. Personally I think that Darwin got it right with regards to evolution and there are a few good theories on how the universe got started in the first place.

Of course. I cannot believe that the intricate physical architecture of the world is random. Can you honestly expect me to believe that all this beauty in nature is simply a random occurance with no thought or guidance behind it? Careful examination shows all these theories to be on the heels of one truth...one does not exclude the other. The theory of evolution is simply pointing out a thread of logic that runs through all the forms of life on Earth. It has never once provided a concrete example of one species actually turning into another. Dinosaurs fit in with Old-Testament history if you figure that they were wiped out by the flood. Scientists guessing at the physical mechanics of the origin of the universe do not contradict the bible either...read it...

Why do people think that eveloution means that things happened by random accident?

They should do some research and they would find that its the opposite.

The beautiful plants and creatures in the world didn't happen by accident, nor did they just appear by gods will. They took millions of years to change and evolve into what they are now.

I don't believe there are real creationists. I think they are just angry at evolution. When a creationist is in mortal danger, he still cries out to evolution to save him. There are no creationists in foxholes. Yada yada and, furthermore, yada.

the greatest honour we can pay the world is to understand it.

the greatest sin against god's handiwork we can ever commit is to turn away from its mysteries as not worthy our attention.

of course creationists exist - and satan was the first of them all.

Yes they do they're called religious people.

but who cares? questions like this always end up as a war between self absorbed atheists and nutty zealots. Most atheists are what they are because of selfish materialism rather than having any real disagreements with religion they want a god that gives them money/sex because they are basically de-evolved forms of men.

Another thing my atheist friends, until i see some interesting research/theories/experiments from you, please feel free to shut your trap about science. most of you who prattle on about science dont know anything about it. its digusting.
