What are the other "Transformers"-like cartoons of the 80's?

I'm drawing a blank. There was that one with the robots that linked up. One became the body and the other four were arms. What was that called?

I think it is Voltron.
A transformers rip-off basically was Go-Bots. There were like 3 or 4 good guys and bad guys. A plane on each side, a scooter for the good guys and a motorcycle for the bad guys, A race car on each side. Then I think they each had the leader as well. It wasn't that bad of a show but really a rip off. Not sure if that was the 80's or 90's though.

It was Voltron, back in the 80's there was 2 versions on the air. One had the machines in the shape of cars(this was the original) and the second had them in the shape of saber-tooth tigers.

I think it's Voltes V. Voltron was a copycat of Voltes V. Anyway, Voltes V is the one that the characters say "Lets vault in!" when they link together.

I dont know.....I was a kid in the 80's though so it's does sound familiar. In my memory though it was just Transformers. Ummmmmm..........Robobots?(don't know just came to mind)
