IIRC, F50s were only officially leased from the factory at the start, I believe as a scheme to solve maintenance problems quickly. However, after this program ended and the cars made their way into private hands, so much exporting and importing occurs in the high-end Ferrari "world" that the number of cars in the UK varies greatly from the number initially imported.
