Well, what do you think about her character?

I think she's both!! But I like her a lot ^_^
And I'm similar to her... in my stupidity and clumsiness, at least -.-
(But, unlike Tohru, I have sharp teeth and I bite *ggrrr*. And I can't cook and I'd make an awful housekeeper, so the similarity ends with our stupidity.)

I think she's lucky, naive, and trusting. I love fruits basket, but sometimes, Tohru can really grate my nerves.
First, she's only going to highschool because her mother wants her to know what it feels like to hold a diploma in her hand, but all she wants to do is get a job after highschool.
Second, if you read the manga, someone mentions that the school she goes to is a bit too high-level for her. It's not the one failing mark she got. At some point in a blurb, Natsuki Takaya mentions that she's a bit in over her head.
Then of course there's the way she meets Haru-kun. She drops out of a school-sponsored health run to make sure he's okay.
She would rather be in pain with the all-too-cute Kisa cub biting her than give in to her reflexes and pull away. And she is constantly being nice to Hiro, including a time she avoids saying "Mom" "Mother" or whatever because he thinks she has a mommy complex, only confusing everyone else, yet it never is enough. She almost made Kisa hate Hiro, which would have probably inspired him to kill the girl that knows too much about his family, but then again, I'm morbid.
One of the scenes that proves of Naivete is when she sneaks into the "Inside" to see if Arisa's Kureno is the same as Akito's Kureno and nearly gets caught (And probably killed) when she sees someone that resembles Kureno but isn't.
So in conclusion, Tohru is Naive, Trusting, and just downright lucky because she's managed to live with memories.

When I watched the anime, I thought "goodness...Tohru Honda is ME." I'm so trusting of other people, and I take orders from just about everyone. I do complain, of course, unlike her, but I think she sort of represents a rough caricature of me. It's because of this that I like her a lot. That, and she's just a cutie-pie.
And I absolutely LOVE her and Kyo together. I've only read the first two volumes of the manga, which echoes the anime (which I've also seen), but I've heard that those two actually get together, and I find it very exciting.
And I agree with another poster: her friends rock, especially Uo.

I like her, shes cute and goes well with Kyo. Although she is really really spacy, and the name Kyo called her once fits her perfectly Space Cadet, I use her as a sickness, whenever someone is spacey like her, i compare them to her and call it the Tohru syndrom. Also the manga is much much better than the anime, theres so much more Tohru and Kyo moments and its longer.

Very cute. LOL. First I thought she was a wimp but after seeing her push Akito I was like ...YEAH!
Then when Tohru stood berween Akito and Momiji I was like YEAH!!
She may be a bit dimwitted and clumsy but...she is actually a strong. And so Damn CUTE! >.<

i luv tohru!!!! she's is so great! she can be a bit stupid but that part of her also makes her cute!
she is sooo nice that i consider her my role model! and it helps! when i'm about to blow up, i think of tohru and what she would do (except, not so much w/ the shy part) and she makes me want to be nicer!
oh, and btw, pita-ten is stupid.

OMG i luv tohru. she's so nice and cute. she's prbably my favorite character along with Machi, Kimi, and Rin. she is so kind-hearted and loving that even kyo fell for her. You rock tohru!!

Tohru is a awesome character! but she is soooooooooooooooooo stupid! She is so sweet and caring so i like her for that but she is sooooooooo spacey! I admire Yuki for his patience to tutor her! I would love her for my maid. i'm more like Yuki! Quiet, smart, caring.... but i am not a kung fu master!

She's cute, and her relationship with Kyo is so sweet!! Sadly, she seems to be some specimen of a 21st-century Agnes Wickfield >.<
I guess she's an okay character. She's just meant for her role.

i like her..and i really can tell that you really like her..(avatar)
yea..she's kinda stupid,but that attitude of hers made kyo fall inlove with her..she's kind,and her big eyes are cute..especially when she cries (in the anime)..then..hmm..she changed people's feeling..alot..she made some of the members of the zodiacs like her..she really cares about other people..she's not selfish,and she's friendly..
well..that's what i can say about tohru..
