Usually if you have a miscarrige you have alot of blood clots and mild to severe cramping. The only true way to tell if you had a miscarrige would be to have an ultrasound or have a blood HCG test on two consecutive days to see if the HCG level is lower on the second day. If the HCG level is higher on the second day than you would still be pregnant.

Just because you saw blood does not mean that you're no longer pregnant but it could mean something is wrong and you would need to see a doctor a.s.a.p. for the sake of the baby. You could be hemoraging. You really need to see a doc and here's a few more reasons. If you knew you were pregnant you could have many different disorders relating to the pregnancy that could make you bleed. You could end up with severe blood loss and die. Even if the bleeding stops, if you really were pregnant, you could have tissue from the growing fetus that remains inside of you and only a doctor would be able to tell. That tissue can cause a severe infection and could be fatal. GO TO A DR.

You really need to get to a doctor on this one.Everyone is different. When I had a miscarriage I didn't even hemorrhage. I went for my ultrasound and my baby's heart wasn't beating. So the next day I had to deliver my dead baby.I was only 13 weeks pregnant.

GO TO THE ER! If you did have a miscarriage, you need to be seen immediately to keep other problems from developing.
If you haven't had a miscarriage, they might still be able to save the baby.

the only way to know for sure would have been to catch the blood clot and take it for testing. i assume it is too late for that now. if you are still bleeding go to the emergency room. if not you still need to go to your doctor. he will most likely want to do a d&c, just in case. either case requires medical attention.
