i would love to find out because at least you can get everything ready and as long as they are healthy .. and never mind all them comments you got they are obviously not very smart when they think your talkin that way about a baby any body with the right mind knows what you mean.. some people just like to make themselves look big by insulting people that way cause they have nothing better to do... best of luck with your newborn when it arrives and i hope it is you would like

Historically speaking, getting to find out the sex of your baby is a very recent phenomenon, and there are still risks involved with the scans and tests (although not major). It's also expensive! My husband and I could not afford to plop $400 dollars down on an ultrasound just to know the sex. Only when it's medically necessary should it be done, and only then should insurance cover it.
Knowing what colors to use is not so important because newborns can wear white, yellow and green and blue and a nursery theme can easily fit either sex. In fact, if you get all pink stuff and your next child is a boy you'll have to buy EVERYTHING all over again and do the nursery all over again. I was able to use the same things for all my babies because the colors were mix n match.
Some might say "this is my only child so it's practical to know the sex." Once again, I would say the ultrasound is an expensive luxury that (because of possible risks) should only be used when medically necessary.
After the baby is born you can buy girl/boy specific things. Who wants to buy everything before the baby comes anyway? All you really need at first are diapers, milk and lots of love.

It's down to personal choice. Some people love the surprise factor of "it's a ...xxx" at the birth, others want to be more practical.
I found out the sex of my son and just recently found out the sex of my second child too, personally I would like to buy items accordingly and decorate the room to the baby's sex, but again, this is my personal choice.

I have 5 children. Waiting on my unborn twins. I DEMANDED to know the sex of my children, before they were born. And I will be knowing what my twins are too!
There's only so many ducks, frogs, greens, yellows, you can buy. When you have a boy, you don't want them in ducks. You want them in blue bears. When you have a girl, you don't want them in frogs, you want them in pink roses.
I have a friend who said that she wanted it to be a suprise. Well, we bought her ducks and frogs, she said she really did like mint green anyways...
Well, when that lil girl was born - we never saw ANY of those outfits we bought on her! Good thing we all gave her gift receipts!
Unless you're a millionaire with a lot of servants ready to have a baby's room prepared with a full wardrobe at the instant that baby is born - I personally think it's best to get ready for baby ahead of time, and knowing the gender makes more sense in order to do so.

I'm guessing by your previous question you mean finding out the sex of your baby at the scan. We found out we were having a little boy at 20 weeks and it makes things so much easier in terms of planning - buying clothes and choosing names.

There is no way on Earth I could withstand the pressure of not knowing! However I do understand the excitement of the element of surprise, so I refused to discuss baby names with anyone and our son's name was the surprise, since his sex wasn't.

what do you mean on sexing the baby.. i wish you had a choice of what you wanted a boy or girl.. i had 7 boys and i wanted a girl so bad.. my mom had 7 girls and 1 boy... if i just could of had a daughter....boys treat you different and they did not have the greatest man as role model either..that was my big mistake to stay in that marriage for the kids sake for 25 years...

We found out with my first child in my sono, that it was a boy. When pregnant with our second child, we were so excited and really hoped it was a girl, so we'd have one of each. And in the sono we found out that indeed it was a girl. With our 3rd and final child, we already knew we had one of each (boy and girl) so we wanted this one to be a surprise. So we didnt find out until SHE was born. We just did all neutral layette, clothing, etc. It was great! Congrats on your pregnancy!

I found out with all of mine, but if I were to have 1 more, I think I would want it to be a surprise. I miss the anticipation of it. But to be able to have the colors right and everything done is why I wanted to know.

i see nothing wrong with it. regardless if u wait til the birth or find out before, its still a surprise. i found out im having a boy which to me makes getting acquianted to him easier and calling him by his name very personal. and getting things for him is alot easier cause we dont have to guess or get neutral things.
