Put the panties in a cold soak with a little detergent. You may have to add a little bleach to the bloody area if it has been dried very long. I would have her wear pads for the first few months until she knows how her flow is. You may need to have her visit the dr. to make sure everything is ok. Make sure she knows to clean herself with soap and water 1 or 2 times a day plus bathing daily and changes pads as needed. Pads especially can have odors pretty fast. I taught that age and had many odorous young ladies in the classroom! The boys at that age can be cruel if they catch the smell and believe me they do know more about it than you would ever imagine! Make sure that she really understands what is happening with her body and it's changes and that a period is as natural as walking. Tell her to respect herself with the choices that are coming!!

Hot water is really bad for getting out blood. Make sure to use COLD water. Soke the underware in cold water for a little bit, and then put hand soap or any kind of soap in the part where the blood is and scrub it until the blood disappears. If there is still more blood left, let it soak a little bit more, and scrub some more. (An old tooth brush always works well, but using your hands or rubbing the cloth against each other should work too). That should do it. Always works for me. Also, about pads, vrs. tampons. She should use pads for the first year, and then after that she can start using tampons if she wishes. I am guessing you are a single dad or something. Good luck w/ the girl stuff!!

Cold water and soap for the undies, as far as pads vs tampons, let her use the pads first for a couple of months to see what type of period she is going to get, whether it be heavy or light flow. If it becomes heavy then you might want to start her on the super slim absorbency tampons if not then pads are ok for now, just remind her not to wear white on those fun days. GOOD LUCK

the best way i found to get blood out of panties is bring them to a sink and wet them with cold water scrub the blood stains hard with a bar of soap on both sides and rub the panties together rinse and wash as usual and as far as pads to tampons let her use pads first but if you are very relaxd show her how to use a tampon and let her decide

Explain what's happening to her body. She is becoming a woman. Once she understands, she can decide when she is ready for tampons. And panties are cheap, buy her some more.

Don't worry about clean knickers. First, you need to explain to her the facts of life. Starting one's period is the first sign of adulthood and paves the way to becoming sexually active. She should use pads until she is sexually active, this should be when she marries.
As to the knickers, soak in warm soapy water overnight.

i susgest you start letting her use pads and then let her get used to it and then let her use tampons when she's like 14 or 15 unless she really needs tampons like for swimming or sports. =]

explain to her whats happening. tell her about your first period and just comfort her. i would not suggest tampons its not very hygienic or healthy. soak the panties in COLD soapy water.

let her use pads cause tampons might be "scary". Use Peroxide. I went down to Florida and my aunt and Grandma told me that cause they just tried it and it worked.....
