If a person is in jail or prison and becomes age eligible for social security do they get it? What if that person has been in prison since they were 18 and will be there for life? What if that person is released after they become age eligible for social security? What if that person has never had a job?

Age isn't the only factor for getting social security. If they haven't worked enough quarters, they won't get social security. Someone would have to work at least 10 years in order to qualify for SS retirement.

I believe that if they are convicted of a felony, they won't get SS while in prison.
