Hi Guys! I have an (almost) 11 month old who has not cut her teeth yet. She rubs her gums and slobers and pulls at her ears. The other day, she had some skin to turn white on her gums, where her top 2 and bottom 2 teeth would be, It sloughed off, but no teeth... There is no ear infection and no fever. Her pediatrician says not to worry until she is 15 months with no teeth. She is walking and talking and very smart for her age. All of her development is normal, other than her teeth. Anyone have any suggestions? She is a little cranky, but not bad. I just feel sorry for her. She acts like she is teething and the teething tablets do calm her.

Well I have had it so easy with my daughter's teething it's ridiculous! What I did is nothing! I didn't use the numbing stuff because it thickens their gums, I didn't use the tablets coz I thought they were weird (lol, I know i'm a crazy mom) I gave her a cold rag to suck on when they seemed to bother her! Oh I think what helped a ton (you can buy it at Wal-mart) it's a vibrating teether. It's like a big rattle with a star on the top. when they bite the star it vibrates and soothes their gums. I think it pushes them through a little though. She LIVED on that thing. Good luck!

My little girl (who's 7 months old) cut 2 teeth about back on the 6th of May and hasn't had anymore teeth since. We think she won't have anymore teeth come out for another 2 months if not longer. I wouldn't worry about it as I'm been told that with some babies there could be a delay of a few months between teeth. Even more-so when their second teeth come out years from now. Good luck.

Same situation. My daughter was probably around 14 months or so when she finally got teeth through. The doctor was never worried about it, said she had never seen a child not get any teeth. Everyone, including the doctor, said if they get them late they will all start coming in at once (well not at once, but one after another, ya know), but my daughter is now 23 months, and has only 9 teeth so far!
So just know that you are not alone. My daughter is fine in every other area also, guess it just takes more time for some!

My son and daughter both had the same problem exactly and the Dr. told me to freeze a spoon and rub them along the gums with the bottom part of the spoon, and to also use Humphreys teething tablets, which you can get at Walmart and Walgreens just make sure you dont go over the recommended dosage.

Your baby will cut her teeth. It will take longer for some babies than others. Your doc is right, if your baby is 15 months old and still has no teeth, then I would become concerned. Continue to give her the teething tablets if those help and let nature take her course! Good luck!

Just make sure she has plenty of teething toys for her to rub her gums on. The rubbing makes the teeth come in faster. But she will eventually have teeth come in, it just takes some babies longer than others.

i think ya. My daughter is 13 months previous and he or she reduce her 4 real the teeth and one among her first incisors (she already had one). NOW she is slicing ALL 4 MOLARS AND both her bottom second incisors. i wager its a blessing although, she is getting each and every of the teething outta the way together, really then dragging it out for months and months. a variety of of teething earrings were large. haha. My daughter is an really undesirable teether, she would stay wakeful (merely laid down for her first nap at 1pm, she were up because that 5AM!) and he or she really a lot screams all day, and chews each and every thing! astounding element is she will have all her teething outta the way beforehand her brother is born (any day now)

My babies didn't cut teeth til they were almost a year old. Just be patient and invest in lots of orajel. It really does help their little gums. Also, my children liked to chew on a wet washcloth that had been frozen. Good luck.

One of my daughters cut her teeth at 16-18 months. Her mother took our daughter to the doc. His reply to the question:
"Have you ever heard of a baby not getting teeth?" Have You?
