Colour doesn't really inspire creativity, the best thing would be to find colours that are pleasing to you. If it is a room for doing Art in it might be best to paint it white ot reflect the light better.

Red is known for getting the imagination running and also known for keepnig you awake
But my thought is why not do fun stuff like take a wall mural of the countryside or New York and cut out outlines and back it on plywood to make it 3 dimentional or go find art you like or have made yourself and have it blown up (American Grafics can do this fairly cheap) and put that on a wall

I think that whatever your favorite color is would be the color that would inspire your creativity. Blue inspires me. Although I just really enjoy color in general. All colors can be inspiring. I think being creative is something that comes more from inside. Inspire yourself. I personally inspire my creativity by reading inspiring quotes. It usually works.

Most art rooms I have been in are white with lots of artwork covering the walls. Its nice to look at other's work and get ideas from that. Definitely hang things from the ceiling too, like cool mobiles and what not. Windows with lots of sunlight shining through are a good thing too. Good luck! :)

green is for nature and new things, but choose a light color. orange is for happiness, red is nice, but it could make you angry easily. I'd go with a cool color, so that you are inspired but not overstimulated....

coloration would not fairly inspire creativity, the merely excellent element may be to discover shades that are beautiful to you. even if that is a room for doing paintings in it will be merely excellent to paint it white ot replicate the mild extra acceptable.
