The F**king Champs is indeed a great name. I like names that suggest utter craziness and rock n'roll danger. Guided By Voices is a cool name that gets better the more you think about it. And you can't beat ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead for sheer memorability and aggression.
Everyone is going to have their favourite and you'll get loads of answers, so what I will do instead is suggest you and your friends try a little test I used when devising my old band's name. It's called the Wembley Test. Try to imagine the name in 5 metre high neon lights outside Wembley Stadium and think of how cool it will look...

well personally i have neer heard of your band b4. the greatest band of all time is one thing to one person and may be different to another person. I mean, joe might think its Pink Floyd, where as Alex may think its the red hot chili peppers. I personally believe its the Beatles because they were tho most insperational band and they still have many spots in the guinness book of world records.

3 favs of mine are blink 182 because they were originally blink but then some Irish band threatened to sue them so the 182 came out of no where. Also, Sum 41 -- they got their name because they decided to officially become a band on the 41st day of summer. Finally, Fountains of Wayne got their name from some fountain store in Wayne NJ. My friend's friend has been to that store. :)
