Between UK and USA, up to a million, they are the same. After that, the difference(s) become(s) logarithmic. In USA, the next unit is always 1,000 of the previous unit, e.g. 1,000 million = billion, 1,000 billion is a trillion, 1,000 trillion is a quadrillion, etc. In UK, the next unit is the previous unit number of previous unit, e.g. 1 million million = 1 billion, 1 billion billion = 1 trillion, 1 trillion trillion = 1 quadrillion, etc.
