Good question, I like it...makes me really ponder being an American. On to my answer: Yes the US will collapse from within eventually and here's why...So long as we have Mexican-Americans, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, etc. we have factions and until they can get past their heritage and acknowledge that we are just American I can see where these factions may/might end up conflicting and possibly trying to gain control. If that infighting were to occur the USA would eventually collapse under it's own weight of diversity.

Hm, interesting
As an outsider, ie European-British, we kinda see America through a lense. We see a nation thats bitterly divided, with the Liberal-Democratic states continually at logger heads with the Christian-Republican state..all the issues like Gay Marriage show real schisms in American Society..and i dont think itll be easy to keep things together if some common ground isnt found soon

Its like some Americans here have Confederate flags..is that because your Racist Christian Southeners, or do you hate the Democratic North?

No, we will not. This political upheval has been going on forever. I think that we will just progross (if thats the right word) from one problem to another. As long as we dont decide to impose a dictator, like Rome or in Star Wars, the nation will survive.

No, it will be transformed into something that resembles what is was, or what it should be, that is what works so well about the US. That may be through civil upheaval, but it will survive. It will grow. I will change.

It depends on what you mean...

I think the US will eventually fail economically but will then recover.

Society will fall apart one day but will restructure itself.

Will America fail to exist because of its own citizens? No.

History always repeats itself. By not learning from it we are doomed to repeat it. Just as ancient Rome fell--because of no morals and "bread and circuses"--the US will follow suit.

I think that if the US continues to turn away from and reject God, it can and will fall.
