He would rather clean the house, wash the dishes and watch the kids while I mow the lawn and clean the pool. And its not because he's the feminine type. Any suggestions?

Is this a really big problem??

I mean...I would much rather do ( and I do ) the inside work.
Laundry, dishes, cleaning the ceramic floors, the bathroom etc.
These are all chores that have an end to them. You can see the progress that your making and know when your done with them.

Yardwork is never ending. There is always something else that you can do to spiffy up the place. Plant another bush here, put some patio stones there....and what is it with those flowers that you have to plant every year!!!

Ok...I have an idea...maybe if you try doing the outside yard work in the skimpyist bathing suit you can find...or at least ( so as not to make it too obvious what your doing ) a halter top that just wont stay up....If he's the jealous type or if you have neighbors who like to watch you work. He may decide its better to keep you inside.

Looks like he has no problems with going against stereotypical male-female roles .. but do you?

Do you like mowing the lawn and cleaning the pool? Are those the only jobs you do, are they daily or once a week? Maybe you have a good deal?! And if you don't like it, why not just get a teenager in to do it like someone suggested.

Why do you want him to do the yard work? Do you want to swap with him and do the house cleaning, dish washing and kid watching? If not, then why do you have a problem with this situation. This problem is yours, not his.

Holy crap, your complaining about him doing house work and watching the kids? Sounds kind of selfish to me........

Hire the kid next door to mow the lawn and clean the pool. And if you are rich enough to own a pool, why can't you afford a pool company to clean it?

sounds like you have a pretty good husband already. i wouldnt be complaining cause you could do a lot worse. but i guess you could try mowing the lawn and cleaning the pool in your bikini and see if that entices him out to help?

Sounds like he's not lazy and that he does contribute significantly to household maintenance and chores, but that you want to either add to the chore list or rearrange it to suit your desires, rather than his. I think, considering that so many women complain that their husbands do nothing at all, that you should hold your tongue and find a way to appreciate his offerings to the home. The yard work you're doing isn't demeaning and it's quite healthy for you, and you could hire it out if you desire to rid yourself of it altogether.

You should consider yourself very lucky to have a guy who does as much as he does...most wives can't even get their husbands to do the dishes! It really does sound like you're getting the better end of the deal; if he's fine with the current situation, leave it as is, and don't push your luck!

I don't see a problem if he's doing he part. Maybe you guys could trade up every week...like you do the yard this week, he does it next week. I'd rather do the yard work...house work is EVERYDAY, honey! You have a good man and you don't even know it. Stopyourbitchin'

Wow! Are you nuts?!!!!!!

I would MUCH rather do the yard work and the pool than the house work (and we have 2 and 1/2 acres).

What's the problem-- sounds like a deal to me--the dishes need to be washed every day, right? But do you cut the grass every day? And it takes me 10 min to vacuum my pool at the very most, but it sure as hell takes a lot longer to dust and vacuum my house--ESP with KIDS.
DUH, quit your crying and go have a cold beer while you edge the sidewalk.
