Hi there

One months notice is standard for a shorthold tenancy agreement. Landlords usually set these up as a12 months contract.

In your case it is probably difficult to go to a local estate agent as you seem to want to move a long way, or at least not a short drive. My recommendation would be to try one of the many property websites, examples are:

www.Rigtmove.co.uk
www.find aproperty.co.uk

Both these sites carry a lot of properties to sale and to rent. If you are not looking for a couple of months then I would recommend www.simple2rent.co.uk as it is a free service website, e.g property to rent with fees to landlords, tenants or agents.

Good luck

Try the Crown Estates or one of their agents in your area.
