Im going to Florida from 5th September - 15th September and wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I will be staying at the Bahama Bay Resort, on Lake Davenport. We will be hiring a car so can get around a bit, but dont want to spend all day driving!! Any comments on the Bahama Bay Resort would be good too.

Pity you can't get down as far as the Florida Keys. But if you're close to Orlando...

- take a swamp tour on an airboat ride (whee!)
- Universal Islands Of Adventure - great rides
- EPCOT - once the "boring" park, now has killer rides (Aerosmith, Test Track, the space launch one)
- try your hand at surfing on Cocoa Beach and head up to Kennedy Space Centre

Well since you will be in the Orlando area - I recommend any of the theme parks in Disney or up on International Drive. If you decide to drive to the beach then Clearwater is your best close bet. I have been to just about every beach outside of the panhandle and Clearwater is in the Top 5. If you have a little more time and want to see what I feel is the best beach in Florida then check out Siesta Key outside of Sarasota - the sand is like baby powder and they have terrific beach services there (food, showers, rentals , etc.) Have fun.

I have lived in Florida for 12 years, and have been everywhere. I would most definitely recommend MIAMI. So many reasons, but so little time. One thing I can say is the restaurants, pools, nightlife, and beaches are on fire! Best of luck to you.

P.S Orlando is okay. It's just Disney, remember that.

You can see the Destin and Navarre Beach area by viewing the live web cam site at http://www.destinpasslive.com

They have live web cams that show the beach and local area around these areas. You will love the white sand and emerald blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Check this area out, we visit there often and just love it.

Oh, I was there three days ago!! It's definately great. The best pool to go to is the bar.The houses are luxurious and you don't have to bring sliverware, blankets,or a stereo.

About the drive thing,I live in Ohio.So that means I had to drive for 15 hours to get there.Sorry I can't help you on that.

I like St. Petersburg Beach and the rest of the peninsula. There's plenty to do in the area. Don't miss the sunken gardens, and there's football in Tampa, along with Busch Gardens. They have beautiful beaches.

I would recommend the home of Jeb Bush, preferably with automatic weaponary so that you can prevent a 3rd Bush from entering the white house.

If you like to shop, go to the Sawgrass Mills in Fort Lauderdale, everything you need is right in there.
