I have lots of weeds in the yard, and I think I have a bug problem too (brown patchy areas, and just plain bare areas). Can I apply a weed and feed and then something to kill the bugs at the same time, or do I need to wait a while between the two?

yes you can, but what type of grass do you have? Some grasses are sensitive to weed and feed. Make sure you read before you buy so that you get the correct one.

Scott's has a three phase fertilizing plan. Use phase 3 which is a weed and feed and kills most common lawn bugs.
