It's exciting and enlightening to visit people and places and to see different places from your own home. I live in a beautiful city, San Antonio, but I don't appreciate the beauty until I go other places and then there are places I wouldn't live because of hurricanes, fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, but I would take a chance traveling to just to see the beauty and do the things they are known for. Since San Antonio's problem is flash floods and I don't live in that area of the city, I don't have a lot to worry about.

We are animals, and it's the animal instinct to travel, travel in packs. We look for food, shelter, etc. When things get bad, we travel on to a new spot. Think back over the world history and all people were born into a nomadic spirit. They all moved and traveled. Maybe for grass for the sheep, etc. It's the basic human nature built into man and even though we try to change it, the need still exists.

There are many reasons why people travel. Some do so for enjoyment, others for discovery. Some to visit family or friends, or to vary their routine. Some do so on business, and others to escape political or religious oppression. Some travel to find a better home and way of life, other to see world site and / or spiritual centers.

If you check the anthropological records of humankind, people have been mixing and marrying, for thousands of years. Most people have DNA of Hittites, Anglos, Saxons, Japhetites etc.
Do you know that some of the world's most antagonist nations have more common DNA than people in their own countries?

They like to travel because they like to see different things and go other places. I know because my grandmother is CONSTANTLY on the go to different places. If you had the freedom to go from one place to another, would you? Some people like to travel, and others dont.

To see some place different, that is not our home. To see different culture. Most places look the same, unless you go to the jungle, or Asia.

grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, over the hill and round the next turn, pleasure will be found, but like the edge of the rainbow, you never quite reach it. we try our whole lives and never quite find any lasting satifaction.

I personally like to experience how others live, and see the things I've read about all my life firsthand. It not only gives me more experience, but makes me appreciate where I live, too.
