Of course it is. Work for a purpose, know that you are working hard for honest pay and good promotions. As you do this you start to feel good about working hard, not slavish.

You can do anything you want on this world and you will still be a lsave to something so just live your life and get over it. You could be a slave to the feelings you get from working a job you are passionate about, a slave to money at a well-paying job, a slave to a job that makes things convenient for you, etc. People are all slaves to something in life. Love, money, adventure, alcohol, work. Only a fool doesn't see it and come to terms with it.

Yes. Doing something well, satisfies YOU as well as your employer. Even if you're not passionate about your work doing yuour duty is not slavish. You're paid for what you do aftr all. Accepting anything your'e asked to do even if not your competence or duty is slavish.

Yes definitely! Your mind and body are very separate, and one can work independently of the other. For example you could be thinking of something totally different but still be able to perform your job... I guess its because the body can get so used to it that it can almost work mechanically.

Robby, I have felt the same way for years. I try to remember that my employer is only a small, separate part of my life. He or she can tell you what to do, but they can't tell what to think. Don't rent space in your head!
