The easiest way is via ebay and it requires very little investment. Hit garage sales and such for stuff that you know you can buy for a lot less than it is worth.
Building a website to provide passive (meaning you don't really have to do any work on a regular basis) income is trickier. Yeah, you can put up a page of links (and everyone has landed on these), but getting people to your site is a lot of work and you only make money if they actually click through the links.
So you end up having to spend money to get a really valuable URL, and then sometimes money to send spam to pull people to your website (and yes, porn sites can be very lucrative, but how does anyone find yours before the others).
There are also a lot of MLM type Internet businesses that promise easy riches with your PC. They require an investment, sometimes several hundred or thousands of dollars, and again, if you can't get people to your website, it will generate no money so most of these sites are pretty useless.
The last option are some of the survey sites. Most just pay points, but a few actually cut you checks. My daughters used to do one for teens and they made about $10 a month from them, but we haven't heard from them in a while so they are probably gone. Good luck finding a legitimate one. So many are bogus.

Go for the Internet business that requires less of your time and the one that will not make you feel headache with web designing or which require IT knowledge. Second, choose the internet based company which offer you the opportunity and at the same time giving you the convenience to start the business where all the things are automated. Third, choose the business which does not require big money to start it. Think again, when you are earning money from the internet, you have the chance to get rid from an income tax.
