I am a genius when it comes to advertising. I believe a lot of times it is the key to success for businesses. My goal would be to come up with a great ad for my own company (advertising advertisements) that would easily show businesses right away that I am good at what I do. I would also offer a free first trial.

You got passion! You must not be fooled though, because i had the same experience you are going through right now. Im bout 7 months afterwards now. Advertising is okay but it takes more then selling ads like a yearbook or newspaper space. You must search and search for more options to offer a company. This is anything from little flyers to big ole billboards. The most important thing that will help you is get info on marketing. Ads are just one important tool for a business but there are 4 others that companies are turning to lately. Sometimes you don't see ads and wonder why a company is doing so well. That's because they are behind the scenes to find exactly the TYPE of people that WOULD buy their services. Thats marketing. They target potential customers more directly than a mass media ad you see on tv or on ya cereal box. Direct marketing is where they use flyers directly to a neighborhood like junk mail. Promotion is when you design or supply things a company can hand out to loyal or potential customers such as key chains, t-shirts, pencils, pads, etc Gotta read about this stuff. Its not much. Advertisements are not effective without proper marketing. Most big companies know this. It may not be advertising as you may be a great graphic designer, sales rep, or even good in promotions for people. If it is advertising, give companies a way to reach new POTENTIAL customers to generate sales. From logo designs, promotion options, or even give them a report after researching their strengths and weaknesses of current customers (surveying them) Its a little deeper but a big passion could make this dream come true within months. Studying MARKETING will only make your company successful too; as you improve to add to your own marketing to clients. Good luck! Find good resources and networks to become successful !!!

If you're a genius at advertising then why do you need help??? Can't you figure out how to advertise your advertising business? I certainly wouldn't hire you.
