Freedom to decide my own safety issues. I don't want to rely on Gov institutions to decide what is my pesonal safety and what is not.
Freedom to raise my children by my values.
Freedom to decide what food I think is good for me.
Freedom to chose what I put into my body.
Freedom to choose own type of medical care for myself and children.
Freedom to choose my religion.
Freedom to express my political views and opinions about others that are tearing down our society, our neighborhoods, our nation.
Freedom to publish books and articals expressing my views and beliefs.
Freedom to be able to speak out against any group or person that is damaging society or a neighborhood or a person.
Many of these freedoms have been cutailed to suit a small group or segment of the population.

Nothing at all. There are no freedoms left here in the united states.

I've been thinking about an answer for a few minutes but Lou (above) pretty much covers my feelings about it.

I'd like to add though, that freedom also means that folks like ceruleanxblue, Spartacus, and eg_ansel (also above) can enjoy the freedom to be miserable and hopeless if they choose to.

The nice thing about freedom, is being able to voice an opinion about your government without being locked up or stoned to death. :)

I love this country even if I don't agree with everything that's going on.

Pride is the greatest evil, followed close second by greed.
So what do you think?
When you abandon the poor for your own pleasures you will be in huge trouble and subject to facism and communism.
Point in history has been proven over and over agian.

Nowadays? Not much.

Miserable? I'm happy as hell! I don't have to be in the States while it all goes down the toilet thanks to Dubya.
