yes how do I get this out of the van to replace it.

i don't think you want to try this one your self my labor book shows 8 to 12 hours
it requires removing the entire dash lots of wires and stuff if you don't hook all of it back up rite it wont work
mechanics charge between $50 and $80 an hour do you need your ac that much and are you sure that's where its leaking have a dye check done

Briansmobile is right! As a Chrysler tech for over 20 years this is no do it yourself job. Without going into lengthy detail the bottom line is the instrument panel has to be removed in order to get the HVAC unit (heater case) containing the evap. out. Plus the possible danger of handling the freon and the need to recharge the system afterwards. Painful and costly as it may be you need a dealer or a good repair shop for this job.
