Introverts just recharge differently. We don't energize by associating with other people, it drains us. It's not a sense of fear, its just that for us large groups can quickly become too much of a good thing. Yahoo answers allows for a less draining experience interacting with others and being able to use our thought processes to answer questions that we 6think have merit.
Introverts tend to take longer to think something through. they rarely blurt out the first thing they think on a subject. This forum allows us to answer questions the way we want to, slowly and methodically.

The psychological interpretation of extrovert is they sipmly feed on energy from other people. It's not true introverts don't like people. An introvert "spends" energy and it causes fatigue. I'm chained to a desk for 8-9 hours a day, that's why I'm here. More people open-up in this arena anyway. From church, social settings, parties, etc. I've never seen/read/heard so many interesting, thought provoking, some ignorant, some hilarious...questions.

Not everyone on here is an introvert. I'm more of an extrovert, and that's why I'm on here. It keeps me in contact with people while I'm at work. I'm a receptionist and I'm the only one in the office most of the time. So, if there's nothing for me to do, I get on here so I can still have some kind of human contact. When I'm not here, I'm never on the computer. I'm on the go so much, mainly with my husband and kids, that I don't even have an Internet connection at home. There's no need for one there. We'd never use it.

Extroverts are that way for alot of reasons. Some are just quiet and reserved. Some have been hurt by other people badly as young children. Some have phobias.
I am an extrovert.

Are you an extrovert asking introverts to reveal their dark secrets?
Your question reminds me of people who go to online dating chatsites and ask "It's Friday! What are you doing in here?"
Thanks for the laughter.
