Said above by mazey1967; It needs to be Tanned and Sterilized. Then manipulated to be very soft and pliable, like the finer leathers. Use high quality Brass Zippers.
What scares me, is, where you plan on getting your skins? :-O

tanning it like leather would probably be the best /most hygenic way to prepare the flesh.

It would need to be dried and tanned. Also disinfected. One more thing....seek mental help immediately.
