I already have a dialup modem connected to my pc and i am using it for dialup internet. when i goto the address book, and call one of the contacts on thier phone of mobile, they recieve the call, and after they accept the call, they can hear everything i speak in my microphone connected to my computer, but i cannot hear what they speak...
so if anybody could please tell me the reason for such and problem...please do reply...

You need a software that will let you to connect you to your model from your pc. Such software like "phone dialer", "caller" etc. I think you'll be easily download one of them for free. You have to use a headphone and microphone with your modem.

I used to use my computer to talk on with a dial up and had no problems what so ever ,now I can not remember the program I used it was awhile when I lived in Michigan I dislike the VIOP stuff rather go back to the old stuff

Your modem is broadcasting, not receiving. First, I'd make sure your modem is set to full duplex and that it has the Full Duplex capability. (Most do have this, but double check to be sure.)

try the program skype (you can download at skype.com) you can make local calls free with it for a while anyhow, and it will check you sound set up

go buy a phone and attach it to your computer, i do not think it is a good idea to use ur computer as a phone, the voice quality will not be good !
