Congratulations I think you are pregnant.... I keep hearing about these stupid doctors in Ireland... did they actually go to medical school?

Here in England, if you've done a Clear blue or Predictor test, they won't test again, just take your word for it, in fact my doctor said if that the Clear blue was more accurate than their NHS ones!

Tell the doctor that you are pregnant and all tests are coming up positive and to let you know how to sort out your booking in appointment with your midwives.

Also, think about changing your doctor!

either If you are pregnant or want to be pregnant take the folic acid. You should start it months before you get pregnant. Better late then never.

Doc better do another test in a few days and if tests are wrong then he has more work to do. Home pregancy tests are very accurate and if they're wrong for you then you need to know why.

If the preg tests came back positive with in 1 minute, its NOT an evap line and i would say its a BIG FAT POSITIVE, i don't know why your doctor didn't do a bHCG(blood test) especially if you're early on, he should know what your count was. The only way to know for sure, is to have a bHCG, and then wait 2 days, If your bHCG results more than double CONGRATS, if they raise slowly, or go down, it would be bad news.

You need a blood test. And I can't believe a doctor sent you home with his test.

There is no harm in taking pre-natal vitamins now... you should actually start taking them BEFORE you get pregnant if you are planning a pregnancy.

Every woman of child bearing age who is even thinking of becoming pregnsnt should be taking folic acid. " Folate is needed both before and in the first few weeks of pregnancy to help reduce the risk of certain serious and common birth defects known as neural tube defects that effect the brain and the spinal cord." (FDA)

Sorry to say this but it sounds like you are expecting a "bundle of joy" I suggest that you get a blood test done ASAP.
If you are going on vacation you will ruin it by worrying about being pregnant so its best to find out straight away.

Go to a family planning clinic and tell them this and get them to do another test. Sounds like your doc isn't doing his job properly. Take your tests to them also to show they were positive.
