her sponser was responsible for her living till the end of June, but now she gotta find another place to stay till the 19 of August
where she can find a list of not very expensive places to stay?

There are several good youth-hostels that are cheap in Berlin (for example the Generator). She should also try to look for an apartment for a time on the Zitty magazine and similar places. My third suggestion for her is to try to find holiday rental - most of these people would give her a discount for staying for a month and a half.
