If you got email from them you can check the full headers to see if the IP is there, otherwise you should probably contact authorites that can subpoena the ISPs.

To display the full headers, Yahoo has a link at the bottom right of any email message.

To find the IP address in the Email, open the header to a full header. In Yahoo Mail look for the words Full Header on the top or bottom of the email page, right under the bar with Reply, Delete, Forward, Move buttons.

Don't count on the IP address being any good. A trace will at best lead to the country of origin only. These people use IP address that change constantly. Every email they send has a different IP address.

If you still want to try then go to this site and put the IP in and see what it finds.

The IP cope with will purely teach you the city and united states the position the scammer is depending, not the fellow's call or cope with. And scammers many times use proxy servers to conceal their id besides. so as that they could be in Nigeria or Russia yet in the adventure that they are utilising a US proxy their emails will teach as originating interior the U. S. once you've been scammed report a police document. purely the police can get a courtroom order to subpoena the scammer's ISP

check with your internet provider..they can trace all ip addresses if fraud involve the police they can trace any ip that has sent things to your comp .....
