In yesterday's game, after Italy scored, the goalie went up behind one of the players (can't remember which) and was dry humping his butt! What's up with that??

I'm asking the question sincerely. It really did happen and I'm not sure if there's some meaning to it. I just thought it was weird!!

And I still didn't get a real answer to my question. Does anyone know? Does it have anything to do with giving it to them "in cuolo"?? lol

I really did not notice that... but in soccer and in many sports, when players celebrate the joy of making a goal or winning the game, the jump into each other... hugging and screaming.
I don't see any rare situation there.
To notice and see something RARE in the celebration of yesterday means not knowing about soccer... to pay attention to that an not to the game and the meaning of the goal.
And no... there is nothing to do with that "culo" thing u mentioned.

I would be humping a lot more than that if I had won that game! He was probably just really happy and saying that they got England up the ***...or maybe it was an inside joke between the two. Italians are touchy-feely to begin with.

Darn. I missed that. :)

Actually in most sports, you see men getting very physically affectionate with each other. I think it is one of the few outlets for men to actually SHOW affection for each other without being labelled gay or girly. We women can be affectionate with each other without these labels.

Granted it looks a bit funny, but perhaps that's because we look at it through those awful stereotypes of what men "should" be or do. I think if in a highly emotional moment a guy wants to leap onto another in his excitement (and it's clearly not sexual .. it's the excitement of the game) then why should we care? Men have such a raw deal in the hugs department .. and hugs are good for you! Let them jump each other .. who are they hurting? On the contrary .. they're expressing emotions and that's healthy and healing.

Obviously, you never scored a goal that important. People react in estranges ways. A kicker in American football broke his leg after a field goal. I am sure he didn't mean to do it.

I'm glad I missed it - how vulgar and horrible. I'm not a soccer fan, now I definitely won't watch soccer.
