I want to go somewhere in October this year and am basically looking for somewhere sunny and interesting - lots to do, but good for relaxing as well... I can't afford something expensive so i've narrowed it down to Europe! Help - where should i go?

Vienna Austria. If you want some thing with lots to do this is the city, so much here day and night the best transport in the world, a fantastic river with good bathing, dances, clubs, museums, so many parks, mostly sunny until late Nov. fast connections to most of Europes citys by trains, planes, boats, busesand good roads, the transport is super to the airport by shuttle train and bus. see the infomation on sites. English is spoken as second languge here. German first. although you will hear most world languges in the city

Go to france, you can get some fairly cheap cottages on http://www.cottages4u.co.uk - my family are renting one - with a pool and its costing us about £130 each for a week, they throw in the ferry crossing too, you just have to drive when you are there. You could catch a train or stay north of france to reduce your petrol costs. I have found that Etap hotels by the Accord group are pretty reasonable if you drive and need to stopover somewhere. Its exactly what we are doing this year, we are driving to perpignan on the south coast! They do have budget airlines to the towns too if driving is not an option!

Have fun, whatever you choose!

I suggest Cyprus. It is amazing - i lived there for a year and a half and i loved it! If you want a good nightlife or to visit an amazing water park (Waterworld) and have lots of fun, i suggest Ayia Napa. Definitely go somewhere near the beach because it is cooler and the beaches ( and watersports!!!) are amazing. You should definitely go on the 'flyfish' with a few other people.

SICILY - An amazing place to go on holiday. Great beaches, inexpensive shopping, incredible food, amazing nightlife (clubs are unbeleivable) and so much history and things to do as a tourist. You can rent a car and explore the entire country in a short period of time. If I could speak Italian then I'd never have left.

Northern Italy somewhere near lake Garda, great food, nice people, nice waether and near enough to Venice and Verona for some days out. If you go dont forget to go on the open top ferry, takes most of the morning to cruise the lake and is so cheap - and fabulous (like me!)

I recomend Croatia. Its not very well known of for tourism. Its an absolutely BEAUTIFUL country, especially Dubrovnik. Its rather inexpensive - theyre not on the Euro so its affordable. It has nice relaxing beaches and sunny days. Have fun!

by yourself??? that makes a difference - I recently (when 45) took a coach holiday to Austria -so much fun! -ok the folks were all old but you soon make loads of friends and i ended up getting coffees for people on the coach and making lot sof friends. You get escorted to places but still get chance to go ane exlplore by yoruself.

A coach holiday anywhere is a good idea -it`s cheap and easy!!

Look at first choice website or teletext holidays for really good deals, it doesn't have to be Europe, it costs around the same to go to the Caribbean. Have a good one.
