By your question, do you mean 'How many gods are worshiped in the world,' or 'How many true Gods are there?'

If your question was intended to mean the first of these, there are literally an infinite number. Worship is simply placing something in the forefront of your life; making that one thing most important, above all. For some people, the TV becomes a god.

If you meant the second one, then you've opened up a huge debate. I am a Christian, and I believe there is only one true God. Muslims, as well as those of many other organized religions also believe there is only one true God, but we disagree as to who that God is.

In the end, we believe that you will be held accountable to the decisions that you make. Not only about which god is real, but also for how we react to that information. Religion must be proactive.

Nobody knows how many gods there are. Thousands have been named or identified over the ages. There's gods like Zeus or the Sphinx, and then some people make individual gods of themselves or of material things such as money or sex.

What's important to remember is that there is only one TRUE God...the God of Abraham, Jesus Christ, Mohamed, etc.

I believe there is only one God. I also feel that others have a right to believe there are many. Some people's God is money, etc. It's a good question.

one of course, use your brain, if there was more than one God, don't you think they are going to be fighting ..using their power and make mess in the world..to prove points and make people worship them.... some people just created names for god and in time people thought they are many ,it has always been one God.
