Both generally want both, IMO, but some people only want one and others might prefer their own company and not particularly care for either.

I think the above generalisation has been very damaging to both sexes in the past. Women have been encouraged to see sex a bartering tool for "love" and men have been encouraged to think that being a "man" is all about being virile and up for a shag all the time, sometimes at the expense of all else in a relationship.

If I had to prioritise I would add "loving" (as opposed to *being* loved) to the list and say that all three are very important to me, with being loved *slightly* less so than the other two.

Depends on the men and women involved really, but in my opinion and experiences - YES that is very true 99% of the time!!Thats why men like to make love after an arguments, as that helps them feel loved again, personnally I need to feel loved before making love - but hey thats just me!

I think that in general your statement is basically true, at least if we were to prioritize being loved and making love, I suspect that's how most men and women would put it. But to say that men don't care about being loved and that women don't care about making love would be wildly inaccurate.

If I had to choose one and be without the other, I'd choose being loved, but it would be a hard choice.

Nope it depends on the person, the boundaries are blurring and some men want to be loved and some women just want to do the loving! thankfully we are all individuals and it takes all sorts to make this world

Men don't necessarily want to 'make love', they just want a shag. Doesn't really matter who with either. My brother used to say 'You don't look at the mantelpiece when you're poking the fire'. I think most blokes are of the same opinion.
