If you have decent sweet corn, it tastes great! As long as it is properly chewed, the only part that does not fully digest is the outer covering of the kernel, and most of the nutrients are inside the kernel.

If you've never lived in Iowa, you have no idea that sweet corn doesn't taste like corn you get everywhere else.
It is much better tasting than any other corn that I've had around the US.

My husband refuses to eat sweetcorn. He says it's what the Spanish feed their donkeys!

You must not have good sweet corn where you live. Here in Indiana, our corn is excellent.

Soak the ears in salt water, then toss them on the barbecue grill for a few minutes ... steamed to perfection!

Drat ... I'm all hungry now ...

Well I want to defend sweetcorn!!

It is delicious, especially with tuna....or on pizza....or on its own with some butter.

It can be a healthy option and it provides fibre.

And it LOOKS pretty!!!

Who said food has to have a point? Can it not be simply savoured in the moment?
