Why do people form opinions base off of media reports and what a politician says, just because they think they are right or left wing.
In a country with so many different types of people, how can a bipatisan government address the need of the people when they are addressing their own parties agendas.

We get our opinions from media and politicians because that is all we can go on. We are not around in Washington when all of their work is being done so we don't know for sure what is going down. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. We need to put the party lines away and work together, but unfortunately, it probably won't happen any time soon.

I believe that people are basically good. I believe that people actually mean well. I believe that humanity is capable of great things. However I also believe that the average person is basically missing out on one very important thing. And that thing is this, a grasp of the blaintally obvious.

Face it people, the world is all screwed up. It's not getting any better. Why? Because you won't look at the situation as it is and say the following, "I'm gonna do something about it." And why won't you do that? Because you are all fooled into believing that what isn't working is in the best interest for everybody else. They even tell you so, and you believe them, so you continue to put your faith into what has obviously failed and blame everybody else for its not working. You do this simply because you don't want to be bothered. It would disrupt your world which is hard enough already. You say, "Oh no, we'll leave it to them to fix it." It's not their fault that they can't solve the problems it's somebody else's. Meanwhile the problems never get solved. And their excuse for not solving the problems, of course, is always this, "It's the other guys fault!" Well I'll tell you whose fault it is. It's yours! Yes you. And do you know why? Because you fell for it, that's why. They've been pulling the wool over your eyes since kindergarten. They're pulling the wool over your eyes now. And you're too blind to see it. So you accept and support it, even though it's not working, never has and never will. You're just so easily convinced that what isn't working is such a good thing for everybody, because they told you so, and you let it continue on as it always has, even though it's not what's best for you, its whats best for them. This is why they don't fix it. They'd loose out if they did. So they say, "we're not gonna do that." And you say, "Okay." and nothing ever gets better. Then they make it look more complicated than it actually is so that you will continue to let them control everything.

Yes, we should have just a single party in power so we can avoid this senseless bi-partisanship. History has given us excellent examples of what a single legal party can do to a country and how it helps those in power. Look at Saddam's Baathist Iraq, Mao's, Stalin's, or Ceucescu's Communist empires, and even Fidel's communist Cuba, or Hitler's PURE national socialist Germany.

All of these are fine examples of what we can become if the Ann Coulter's and O'Reillys and Bush's and Cheneys of the world get their way and realize the dream of a united one-party conservative America. Let's make it happen!

Bipartisanship only hurts elections not day to day life in Washington. The reason is we need a party balance in office to preserve the values of both sides of the political spectrum. The problem is the mindless sheep of the nation that only vote for their party regardless of the candidates stance on issues of importance.

we are so divided that we are focusing on our differences instead of keeping on target with the actual issues and coming up with viable resolutions.

People believe what the media tells them because their is too much conflicting information and opinion so they choose to ignore all. Besides I think most people don;t get involvedmore because they believe that they will not make a difference so why bother.

Yes, but it is where we are at right now. It is like a storm that rages and all that can be done is that one rides it out.
