English was NOT invented, certainly not in any particular year. English is not like a computer language that may have had its origin in a specific year. Rather, English developed over many years as the common language of people living in England. It had its origin in languages like Latin, Celtic, Danish, and others.

Old English is dated roughly from 400 to 1100AD. Middle English from 1100AD to say 1450. Modern English roughly from the time of Shakespeare. Today there are, of course, about 200 varieties of English (at least) that are spoken all over the world, though British and American English as the two dominant forms.
